Two books that are quite simply THE best for making your own bread. Both by Peter Reinhardt…. the first is ‘Crust & Crumb’ here. The other one is ‘The Bread Baker’s Apprentice’ here.

There are many sites providing information for either buying or even making a solar oven. As a note, I have cooked an Indian curry with my Dutch friend in Arnhem, The Netherlands, which is not at all famous for its sunshine… more for rain. We cooked a dish with 1.5 kg of chicken in a curry sauce in about 4 hours!!!
